Alan and Cyril Body were twin brothers, born and brought up in Cardiff. They both served in the RAF during the Second World War. After that Cyril worked in industry and Alan converted to the Roman Catholic Church and became a priest.

The Alan and Cyril Body Trust was established under the terms of Alan’s will in 1990. It provides financial assistance to eligible students of Cardiff University who are finding it difficult to meet course related expenses. Since the Trust was established it has made grants totalling over a quarter of a million pounds.
